Petrie is originally from Fiji, she moved to New Zealand in 2012 to pursue a career in Physiotherapy. She graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2015 with a Bachelors of Physiotherapy she then worked as a Rotational Physiotherapist gaining experience in various departments including; Orthopaedics, AT&R (geriatrics rehab) , Surgical as well as Medicine and it’s subspecialties. While working at North Shore Hospital Petrie was awarded two CEO Recognition awards. She later then joined Gilly Davy at Connect Neuro Physiotherapy based at AUT Millennium in 2018 where she gained experience in working with clients with Neurological conditions i.e. Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, TBI and Spinal Cord Injuries. Petrie is MS Get a head start certified, PD warrior level 1 certified and a qualified Nordic Walking Instructor.
Petrie made the change from Neuro Physiotherapy to MSK physiotherapy in September 2019 when she joined us here at Physiofusion. Petrie has represented Fiji for Swimming at an international level and understands the effects various injuries can have on a sports career.
Petrie is passionate about helping clients optimise their function by adopting a holistic and individualised approach to Physiotherapy.
